Technology & Innovation Development Office (TIDO)
Technology Development Fund

The Technology Development Fund (TDF) is a seed-stage academic catalyst fund dedicated to translating high-impact academic technologies into the independently-validated, later-stage opportunities sought by industry partners and investors. Technologies funded by TDF range from therapeutics and devices, to diagnostics and vaccines in both pediatric and adult indications. The TDF is currently being offered to Boston Children's employees only.

Brigham Care Redesign Incubator Startup Program (BCRISP)

Launched in 2013, BCRISP aims to improve the care we provide to our patients. BCRISP invests in innovative proposals from front-line clinicians, rapidly tests pilots, scales successful projects, and creates programs that deliver clinical and financial value. To date, BCRISP has received over 165 proposals, representing 100% of the clinical departments within Brigham Health, engaged 700 Brigham Health clinicians, and has implemented 25 different pilots.

The Dean’s Fund for Scientific Advancement

The Office for Research Strategy and Development administers this internal competitive funding program that strives to expand opportunities for scientific advancement, pedagogical innovation and transdisciplinary collaboration across the Harvard Chan School and in partnership with other institutional collaborators. The four funding mechanisms that comprise the DFSA are designed to create a pipeline of support that facilitates the exploration of early ideas, the development of strong interdisciplinary team science, and the creation of new transformative research collaborations that advance the frontiers of science.

The Dean’s Fund for Scientific Advancement: Acceleration Award

Acceleration Awards are collaboration-focused grants supporting the advancement of research, research-enabling platforms, and pedagogical innovation. Grant applications will require the substantial engagement of at least two Harvard Chan School departments or centers and must include collaboration from at least one other Harvard School. Up to three awards will be distributed annually across three focal areas: Research Grants; Research Platforms; and Public Health Pedagogy.
